Kucoon

Finally watched the first episode of Regatta.  For some reason, I like it better than Sapuri. 

It must be the fact that:

1. The theme of a school rowing club fits the summer season better
2. Hayami Mokomichi who plays the main character has shown lots of improvement in his acting as well as his outlook.

The theme song is another good reason for liking this drama.  Apart from the main theme song by Kobukuro, the other theme song "Bad Day” by Daniel Powter really brings out the mood.

Well, I just hope that it lives up to my expectation as it proceeds.  I think Regatta is a good chance for Mokomichi to step up from second-line actor to main actor if he continues his momentum. 

I started to see some qualities of the young Kimura Takuya in him.  In the previous dramas, I used to think he’s too tall(186cm); his neck is un-proportionally long, and his acting too shallow.  But now I have a feeling that he’s mothing into someone as popular as Kimutaku, maybe.  Guess my impression on him started to change slowly since his Daihatsu CM.
