Kuroki Hitomi (黒木瞳)
Kuroki Hitomi has been my idol for years. She’s the most elegant and beautiful Japanese actress of this time, well, to my humble opinion. Originally trained in the Takarazuka Revue, Kuroki Hitomi is a well-rounded artist. She is a living model of many women in Japan. Time seems to stand still for her and there is no sign of aging whatsoever you can find from her face nor her body and she looks at least 20 years younger than her real age (46). She’s also become more and more active in TV, movies and CM. Could see her on TV almost every night nowadays – she appears in TV variety shows, the latest Daihatsu CM, Spring Drama “Primadam” and recently played on TV the movie “Tokyo Tower”.
And I just picked up the “Maple” magazine with her on the cover. Stunning photographs! So natural, chic, sexy and sweet.

I know the girls from Tarakazuka. They all looked like the girls from the comic books. Fans of theirs line up every night outside the Imperial Tarakazuka building to have a glimpse or handshake with their idols.
Hitomi is very well-kept. She looks like in her 20s. Geez…..ask her for me her secret potion next time if you see her. Don’t tell me is yoga again!
Cheers,
Pam

Just watched a TV documentary on young girls training at Takarazuka a couple weeks ago and Kuroki Hitomi appeared in the show. She shared her experience and said that her time at Takarazuka was tough yet valuable as she was able to remain focus on one thing that she had passion on. A typical day would be one fully packed with training on singing, dancing and performing - no TV and no social life at all. It’s a bit tough to a teenage girl but she claimed it was time well-spent and she’d never regret what she’s gone through.
Takarazuka performance is not my type and I have yet to learn to appreicate it. However, I do admire those performers who have gone through such hardship after watching that documentary.
Well, I’m sure Hitomi has been keeping up with her dancing and very likely yoga as well. Yoga is very popular in Japan right now. Duncan Wong has just opened a studio in Tokyo last year.
Will try to find out Hitomi’s secret potion and share with you.
